| The furniture
is constructed using traditional pegged mortis and tennon joints wherever
possible. Each piece of furniture has been designed with the properties
of oak in mind. As a natural material, the furniture may change as it
weathers, however it is designed to always remain stable and serviceable.
The advantage of using traditional wooden pegged mortis and tennon joints
is that as the moisture content of the wood changes with the seasons,
the whole of the joint naturally expands and contracts together, thereby
retaining its strength. Any screws or fittings used are of high quality
stainless steel to avoid corrosion and staining.
Slate or stone tops
Coppell Oak tables can be supplied either with a boarded top or alternatively
with slate/stone of your choice. Other materials, such as polished decorative
cast concrete are also suitable. Alternatives to oak boards may alter
the price of the furniture. |
